Our Story
Since opening our doors in 1970, we've grown alongside our loyal clientele and their families. Thomas Scharping (TSharp), the original owner, was known for his tireless dedication and meticulous attention to detail. As a result, he was awarded barber of the year multiple times.
Mark Kapaun, another talented barber, worked alongside Thomas in St. Louis Park for many years, supporting the mission and vision of TSharp. They eventually expanded, creating a barbershop & salon.
Since relocating to the MoneyGram building in 2001, TSharp remained a prominent fixture on the main floor. Hannah Karpen, an independent stylist, joined the team in 2018 and took over ownership from Mark after retiring in 2020.
As of January, 2025 we have relocated to Ramsey, MN with a desire to bring the same skill & passion for detailed hair services to a growing community.
